Midnight Circus is a dark yet lively experience of caramel popcorn, fire, lacquer floorboards and whimsy.
This scent was a collab with The Grim Theatre (Harlequin Grim and Achillea Grim) where they provided their expertise and experience from their very own dark circus performances. With their guidance, we have been able to bottle the circus experience not only from the perspective of the audience, but the performers as well.
It is a beautiful balance of realism and whimsy. The sweet, buttery aroma of the caramel popcorn and concessions dances joyously between the deeper notes of fire, wood and smoke through the entire drydown. Just as the excitement and anticipation rings alive and strong through and entire performance. Captivated and in awe. It is warm, sweet, woody, and subtly spicy.
"You walk a grassy field dripping with moonlight, undulating in the night air. Your heart finds a nervous beat as you focus on the multitude of striped tents in the distance, their flags streaking the midnight sky with scarlet. Muffled roars, applause, and whistles echo from the circus grounds like a curious song. It possesses a rhythm, a cadence of anticipation and release. The aroma of caramel popcorn, fire, and warmth tugs you further.
Your fingers fidget with the faded ticket in your pocket. Before you can pass through the gates surrounding the tents, a figure in black, white and red motley slips from the shadows, outstretching his hand. Behind him, throngs of people filter throughout the grounds, buzzing with laughter and conversation.
With a knowing grin, the host tears off the ticket stub and beckons you forward wordlessly.
The shows are not confined only to the tents. All throughout the grounds are artists of varying disciplines: jugglers, balancers, acrobats, fire eaters, each with their own bombastic elegance, their odd quirks and characters. Your feet move without command, wandering amidst the hanging lights, the flying props, the electricity in the air.
The reality sets in as your heart throbs with a small ache growing louder, realizing that this is not, in fact, a dream."

Product Features:
-10ml amber glass apothecary bottle with black lid (optimal for preserving the integrity of the fragrance)
-CLEAN fragrance oils (no carcinogens, reproductive toxins, or harmful chemicals)
