Are We Closing?

We are partially closing. This has been a tumultuous year for Ghoulish Goods. The natural ebbs and flows of business, coupled with a challenging economic year and back-to-back unforeseen hurdles have forced us to consider a new chapter.

As we no longer have a team, and are now entirely run and operated by one individual, the workload has surpassed reasonable sustainability. In order to reduce our turnaround times and customer service response times, we will need to downsize our inventory to provide our best service and reliable lead times.

As I am unsure what the future holds, or how long we will be running at limited capacity, I am clearing all inventory. I have a lot of perfumes and concentrates already blended and ready to go and prefer them not to sit for an undefined period of time. So, I am clearing everything out that is already blended.

The intention is to get us down to a few consistent products that I can confidently handle on my own. This may look like monthly boxes (a limited time fragrance themed box that contains a perfume, candle, room spray, etc that changes each month), our top 5-10 best selling perfumes, and/or a quarterly Ghoulish Goods mini magazine. Wherever we land, the intention will be to expand and grow our selection only as it can be confidently sustained, or if we are able to grow our team again. I will try to avoid fully discontinuing any of our original perfumes. We will do a yearly, or twice yearly, special order window to order any perfumes that may no longer be readily available. As long as the demand for them remains.

I will keep updates active, so you can see where we stand and where things are going as they unfold and develop. Even I, myself, and unsure where this road will lead but look forward to the journey with you all. Ghoulish Goods has always been more than just a business for me. At one point, it was my salvation from a dangerous situation. It morphed into the thing that allowed me to create a stable life for my son and I. It rolled into waves of dream come trues, and challenges that felt impossible until overcome. I have learned and grown so much through the years with GG and, in a poetic way, it makes sense for it to morph again at this time. All our growth has only been possible by the amazing support of our community and everyone who has given a small business a try along the way. No matter what the future holds, I am grateful for the time we have had here and for each and every one of you.

For now, I hope you can get your hands on some of your favorites before we roll into our limited inventory plan. Just a heads up, Memento Mori will have to either be discontinued once sold out of what we have left, or it will need to be reformulated. The specific spice I use for it is no longer accessible. Funhouse and Sugar Plum Fairy are also in the same boat for the same reason. So, if any of those are a favorite of yours, I hope you are able to get it now while it is still available.

Here’s to a new chapter!

I am sorry to here this. Eventhough I struggle with sents your store was one of the only ones that offered a sample pack witch was a huge help in figuring out witch ones I could wear long term. (Necromancer and dark water are my favorite) I hope you get back on your feet so to speak.

I’m so sorry to hear you’re partially closing! I just bought more sample sets of the perfume oils for my friends because I found some amazing scents that were so unique!

I’m SO sad to hear this. I love your business so much and have an extensive collection that I’ve garnered over the years. Just bought 13 more oils lol. There were some I wanted to try that were out of stock already, but I definitely took advantage of the opportunity to grab a bunch that I thought sounded neat! I hope things get easier and that all goes well with the future plans. 🖤

So heartbroken to hear the news. Black No 1 and Cursed Carnival have always been favorites that I’ve gotten so many compliments on. I do hope they return along with Singed and Unhinged that I always wanted to try but wasn’t able to before it sold out. Just placed an order and will continue to buy as long as some are in stock
